Operation Market Time (Task Force 115)

Operation Market Time (Task Force 115) patrolled the coastal waters of South Vietnam from 1965 to 1970. The primary vessels used within 10 miles of the coast were U.S. Navy PCFs (patrol craft fast) or Swift Boats, U.S. Coast Guard WPBs (cutters) and U.S. Navy MSCs (mine sweeper coastal).

Larger Market Time vessels used to patrol further out to sea included PGMs (high speed gunboats), WHECs (Coast Guard high-endurance cutters) as well as DERs (radar picket escort ships) and MSOs (mine sweeper ocean). Additional craft included LSTs (landing ship, tank) and various aircraft. In late 1968 some Swift Boats joined with PBRs (patrol boat river) from Operation Game Warden and vessels from the Mobile Riverine Forces in carrying out aggressive operations on rivers and canals. This was known as Operation Sea Lord.
