


Picture 181 Provided by Richard WelshThis snapshot of the USS Vance taken in 1960 from the Wilhoite (o'l Willy, as we fondly remember the ship). This was one of the last DEW Line patrols before it was dissolved . The Vance approached us in April 1960 as were leaving the coastal waters of
the Aleutians and returning to Pearl Harbor. She was approaching to
highline us a live Easter Bunny that we accepted and took back to Pearl.
