Also if I remember correctly, we were making a good- will visit to this port as they did not normally host Naval vessels. They put on this "dragon dance when we arrived and we responded with tours of the ship and we also showed several movies that night projected against the side of the ship. There were no bars in Hua-lien so quite a few makeshift buildings were put up in town to serve beer. Girls were brought in from Kaoshiung and Keelung to make sure we didn't get lonely. As well as I can remember, a good time was had by all without incident. Bridge top
