Reason for reading about the Vance : My family history

Comments :   Dad was on this ship during WWII. I actually found a photo of Dad that I've never seen before! Overall, it's a great site for Vets and their families to have a look back in time, but many photo links are broken.

From mail received from Pat.
My father was on this ship during WWII, so naturally I had an interest in looking at the many pictures posted. Well, lo and behold, I found one, but it's labeled as "Anonymous". I've included a screen shot of the picture as well as the URL of the page I found it on, so it could be easily located for labeling.
My Dad is in forefront, showing the profile of his face. His name is William Konderwicz, Sr (USCG, MMoM) from Massachusetts. The URL is http://www.ussvance.com/Vance/CrewPhotos/anonymous1/anonymous1.html .
Unfortunately, I'm not sure Dad ever saw this picture, as he passed away July 2, 2008. Mom and Dad were honored to have attended a few of the reunions until his health started to decline. Serving in the Coast Guard was one of the things he was most proud of.
While I was searching your site for additional pictures Dad may have been in, I found many of the links to the photos were broken. For example, if I look on this page, http://ussvance.com/Vance/historywhere_when.html, several of the links are broken and open to only a .jpg placeholder or this message "http//:www.ussvance.com/Error_Msg/404.html". Not sure if you were aware of this or not.
Sincerely, Patricia A. (Konderwicz) Ranck
