Reasons for reading about the Vance= To find shipmates
Comments= I wish to say Goodday to the folk of the ship that we alternated with during my time at 60 South. We would pass coming and going to and from Dunedin. I was the Signalman on that ship at that time, but the only times I plied my trade was when our two ships passed. I started looking after I found the NZ Antarctic Veterans Assoc. website. It just flowed from there. Besides, it is good to recall harsh days and those we shared them with. OK, I didn't know any of the Vance's crew personally, but we sure did share the same situation, so there is a bond there. By the way, the rank and age I have listed above is as of 1961.
