Comments= I am completing this log entry on behalf of my Dad, who served on the Vance in May 1945 when the German U-boat was taken to Portsmouth. Marshall Fulp (USCG Lt. j.g. in 1945), eventually was promoted to Lt.Cmdr while serving in the Coast Guard Reserves. He retired from his civilian job in Winston-Salem, N.C., where he now resides.
The email address is his daughter's -- Marsha Fulp -- and I will forward any messages along to my father.
the picture of the "prize crew" my dad is the fourth person (officer hat) from the left, center row. The caricature of Dad is GREAT ! i spotted him right away ! My brother, John, remembers him telling of having this done !
