Reasons for reading about the Vance= Vance/Naval history
Comments= I stumbled across a short account of Arnheiter's antics in a book about cockpit leadership for pilots. The author drew upon leadership examples from other than aviation. I found a copy of the Arnheiter Affair in a nautical antique store. I am curious about what became of Arnheiter after he left the Navy. I served under a CO who was pretty volatile and the psychological reactions of Hardy and Generous were very familiar to me. I dealt with this guy for 3 yrs! Arnheiter was only there for 99 days! Admittedly, his stunts were (a little) more bizarre than my CO's! Does anyone know about Marcus and what he did for a livelihood afterwards?
