Reasons for reading about the Vance= To find shipmates, Other
Comments= I served on the New Zealand ship HMNZS Pukaki, weather picket Operation Deepfreeze, over the 1962-63-64 summer seasons.
Very rarely did the ships US/NZ meet up. Only once or twice did we see each other - usually on station hand over at sea.
Did have occasion to have an ale or two in Dunedin with some from USS Mills?
Did a total of 22 years with NZ Navy finished my time as CPO.
